This is where you set some basic information that will flow throughout your app and your online booking tool.
What are the Calendar View Hours?
This is where you set the start and end times for your calendar in the Schedule Manager view. Set times where most of your appointments will be booked.
Individual service providers might have times that go outside these hours and those times can be booked with the online booking tool but won't be visible in the Salesforce Schedule Manager view.
How should I set my labels?
Because Appointiv works across so many different industries, we allow you to set your own Labels that get used throughout the app and the online booking tool. Whatever you choose to call your Locations, Customers, Service Categories etc, we can take and use throughout the app.
Location - could be "Office" for one customer but "Clinic" for another.
Category - this is the broad type of service you provide. It could be "Specialty" for a medical clinic, "Service Type" for another. This will be the heading your end users see when they are choosing from your different Service Types in the Online Booking Tool.
Service Provider - this is the name you give your providers. It will be the high level name you give your providers like Therapist, Doctor, Accountant, Attorney, or Provider.
Assistant - these are the people who you need to add to appointments to help with the main Service Provider. This could be Nurse, Assistant, etc.
Customer - this is what you call your customers. You might call them Clients, Patients, Members etc.
Setting up External Calendar Sync
You can synchronize your external calendar with Appointiv. The sync works with 5 major external calendars: Gcal, iCal, Microsoft 365, Outlook and Exchange Server.
The sync is bi-directional and this setup area is where you determine how much is shared back and forth.
Salesforce to External calendar - tick the box here to send appointments created in Appointiv to your external calendar
External calendar to Salesforce - tick the box here to pull events from your external calendar into Appointiv. Events will come into Appointiv and show as unavailable time for the Provider. This will stop Appointiv from booking on top of any appointment in the External calendar.
Sync with Description vs Sync without Description - Choose "With description" to send customer name and appointment type info across to the external calendar. Choose "Without description" to send appointment times across but the details are hidden.
Appointment Webform Registration **important**
This is the most important thing to do on this page. Registering your webform means that we've created a webform for you to expose to your customers. You will customize the webform with your logo and branding in a later step.
You'll be asked to enter a company name in this step. That company name needs to be one word -no spaces- and will be included in the url for your webform. It will also be in the signature for all your emails going out to customers confirming appointments etc.
Step 1 - Click Register Webform
Step 2 - Enter the company name you want to use. Company name needs to be one word -no spaces- and will be included in the url for your webform. It will also be in the signature for all your emails going out to customers confirming appointments etc.
Step 3 - Click Allow when Salesforce asks you to verify access.
Finally, you'll see confirmation and a copy of your Booking Button html.
You only have to do this once- the next time you come here, you will see a button to "view your webform" which will take you to your online booking tool.
